Redefining Orthopedic Implants for High-Performance Lives
Discover Nuovo™To engineer knee arthroplasty solutions that will one day empower active patients not just to recover—but to thrive.
At Actuos™ we recognize that today’s arthroplasty patients increasingly expect to return to demanding physical activities after surgery. That vision drives the development of Actuos™ Nuovo™, our next‑generation cementless partial knee replacement system. The device is currently in the early manufacturing and FDA testing phases.
Designed specifically for highly active patients
Partial knee replacement preserves native anatomy and restores near‑natural knee kinematics—benefits that resonate with younger or high‑demand individuals. Many existing partial knee systems were optimised for lower‑demand patients and rely on bone cement for fixation. Nuovo™ explores cement‑free fixation, advanced biomaterials, and precision instrumentation intended to meet the performance goals of active patients.
Nuovo™ stands apart by targeting truly active patients: instead of relying on bone cement like most partial‐knee systems, it uses a cementless porous coating and proprietary adjuvant fixation to achieve rapid, durable osseointegration. Combined with advanced bearing surfaces to minimize polyethylene wear, bone-preserving anatomic geometry, and precision alignment instrumentation under development, Nuovo™ is engineered to restore near-natural knee kinematics and empower high-demand individuals not just to recover—but to thrive.
Advanced engineering that powers exceptional performance
Our cementless porous coating increases surface area to improve initial fixation and support long-term bone in-growth for stable osseointegration.
This engineered fixation feature enhances early implant stability by promoting micro-scale bone interlock, helping the implant remain secure under dynamic loads.
The advanced bearing surfaces are designed to minimize polyethylene wear particles, extending implant lifespan and reducing the risk of inflammatory responses.
Anatomically contoured geometry conserves healthy bone by matching native joint shape, maintaining natural biomechanics and preserving options for future revision.
Upcoming precision alignment tools, will ensure accurate component placement for more consistent surgical outcomes and faster recovery.
